Meet CUBE
Outlined in the 2021 Master Plan. Now it exists.
In 2021, the Healdsburg City Council adopted an Arts & Culture Master Plan calling for a philanthropic vehicle to fund, steward, and grow the city's cultural life. In 2025, the Arts & Culture Commission made it official. CUBE is that vehicle — a 501(c)(3) nonprofit built to turn policy into action, investment into impact, and culture into infrastructure.
Fund Artists and Programs
CUBE channels private donations, sponsorships, and grants into micro-grants, public art commissions, and community programming — putting real money behind real work.
Activate Spaces and Times
From pop-up jazz nights to kids painting murals on utility boxes, CUBE brings life to Healdsburg's underutilized spaces and quiet hours — creating culture where it's needed most.
Connect Everyone to Culture
Bilingual access. Fee-free programming. Wayfinding signage that leads you to the next gallery, the next performance, the next thing you didn't know you needed. Culture should be easy to find and barrier-free.
Where CUBE is going.
CUBE isn't a one-year project. It's the foundation for a creative Healdsburg that outlasts any single program, any single grant cycle, any single administration. Here's what we're building toward.
Third Spaces
A dedicated arts and culture center building community
Exhibitions, education, community gatherings, and artist studios — in Healdsburg's creative living room.
Cultural District
California Cultural District designation
Positioning Healdsburg as a recognized destination for arts and culture in Northern California.
“Healdsburg has the artists, the audience, and the ambition. What it's been missing is the infrastructure. CUBE changes that!”

2026 Initiatives
Five Projects. One Year. This is what your support builds.
Every dollar CUBE raises in 2026 goes directly into projects that make Healdsburg's cultural life more visible, more vibrant, and more accessible. Each initiative has a dedicated funding goal — and each one is ready to move.
CUBE Foundation for Arts and Culture—DBAs CUBE Arts Foundation Healdsburg, CUBE Arts Healdsburg—is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit created to fund, program, and advocate for arts and culture in Healdsburg. We were formed in response to the city's 2021 Arts & Culture Master Plan, which called for a philanthropic vehicle to steward private and public support for Healdsburg's cultural life.
How is CUBE different from the Arts & Culture Commission?
The Commission is a city body that sets policy and priorities. CUBE is the independent nonprofit that raises and deploys private funds to bring those priorities to life. We're aligned with the Commission's work but governed independently.
Yes. CUBE Foundation for Arts and Culture is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit. EIN: 41-2642779. All donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
Directly into programs and grants. In 2026, that means wayfinding signage, pop-up arts programming, micro-grants for local artists, public art projects, and our inaugural Christmas market. You can give to CUBE generally or designate your gift to a specific initiative.

Yes. CUBE's micro-grants program will award $2,000–$10,000 to local and emerging artists. Priority goes to youth arts, bilingual access projects, and work in the public realm. Grant cycles will be announced through our mailing list and website.
Not yet. A dedicated arts center is part of our long-term vision. For now, CUBE operates through partnerships, pop-up programming, and public spaces across Healdsburg.
